It was merely the reliance on personal belief- I know personal belief is important- my own are VERY important to me- but I hate the idea of foisting them on other people (because I do not ever want to be foisted upon). Now while I understand and agree with you, I am a bit wary of your vehemence- just as I am wary of it in other people. It bothers me less viscerally because I agree with you, but agreement doesn't make that type of argument less scary to me. I don't know if I have explained this well at all, I feel I have not. If it is still unclear I'll try to think of another way to say it.
