Some new, hot off the presses benchmarks PM'd to me by Athlon k7: ____________________________________________________________ CopperMine Squares off by: athlon_k75 12/18/1999 11:59 am EST Msg: 89278CopperMine of 89353 Taken from Jan 2000 edition of Maximum PC Page 63 Article CopperMine Squares off We compared Coppermine, Katmai , and AMD Athlon CPUS's at 600Mhz. All were equipped with 128MB of PC100 SDRAM ,7,200 EIDE hard drives, and identical Diamond V770 Ultra cards running nVidia's 2.08 Detonator Drivers. The Micron was the sole machine with 4x AGR, VC133 SDRAM, and a 133Mhz system bus. The SYSmark Benchmarks--the first eight tests in the list below--were drawn from BAPCO's famous real-world testing suite. These are timed scores, represented by minutes and seconds; lower times are better. The Ispire and Photoshop 5.2 scores are part of Maximum PC's testing suite. They're also timed; Lower times are better. Quake II Crusher is measured in framrates; higher is better. The CPU Mark and bootMark test are synthetic benchmarks; higher scores are better. "I've Put in Brackets the best scores for each test run at the same clock rate."
