You realize that hitting children is ancient as well? And that some people see abortion as the ultimate violence one can inflict on a child? I of course support the right to an abortion (uncomfortably) for many reasons that I don't need to go into right now, having explained them in detail many times. But I think it is important to be aware that many people would see a big conflict in your positions- although I understand what you mean and actually agree with you, albeit, for slightly different reasons.
