Dan, if you care to go back and check the FACTS, you will find that I haven't had a great deal to say in the spanking argument. Almost nothing. You will find that my principle reference was to the fact that I once had a professional responsibility for final review of a great deal of research prior to it being presented at conferences or being published in peer review journals. I stated that I had quite a low opinion of social sciences research, in general, as a result of my extensive personal experience. I don't think I've "attacked" anyone for having a different view and I certainly haven't thrown any fits about anyone being a liar. I did include the words, "condescending scum" in commenting on one post -- no doubt there was a kinder and gentler way of expressing my meaning. IMO, there is a woman on this thread who has made a habit of attacking another woman on this thread. I think it's obvious. I think it's ugly. And, I think it's time it stopped. Please be assured that I don't talk about you in connection with anything, Dan (attempt at humor in post to "Rambi" excepted). You may now resume ignoring me. Mike
