Re: SpryWipeys... SpryWipeys? I called our local Gateway store in early December and was told end of this month (Dec 31) or end of next month (Jan 31). He also said "the way they keep changing things, it could be tomorrow, or it could be never." So I wasn't counting on Gateway. Recent rumors have said that at the point Gateway decided to change its mind, either motherboards or processors were not available on short notice. I'm not particularly worried about Gateway since Best Buy etc. can collect as many sales as are likely needed from that market. What I'm waiting for is Compaq or IBM to introduce an Athlon in their business line in addition to the consumer line machines that are out there. Athlon needs to be in one of the major business lines like Deskpro. When that day comes, AMD will finally be ready to develop serious sales volume. Dan
