The author of the Harry Potter series is an Irish resident - not only after her books took off but prior to that also, she was on welfare I believe until her first book was published (thats just from my recollection of the 60 mins interview - I could be mistaken... at any rate she was barely making it financially). So now she receives all these royalties and 100mm for the movie rights tax free!

I suppose Ireland must have some property rights laws because there are a few of these super-wealthies there, Paul McCartney etc. and they could just buy up the entire country if they don't protect against it.
