Mikey (doby) was telling me about a new band he has heard named Joe Rockhead (kind of sounds like something from the Flintstones <g>). He says they sound kind of like Nazereth. I suppose, when he sends me a copy on tape, it will be the only new music I'll be listening to for awhile. None of the good stations around where I live play new music in addition to Classic Rock. Its either classic rock or new rock and pop. Rather have the old then suffer through the new just to hear something every once in awhile which I might find I enjoy.

Branson really sucked last night. Took us damn near the amount of time to get to the Olive Garden via the 76 strip as it took us to take the "kiddie ride roller coaster" road to get there. Wish I had payed more attention when our friends from Holister were showing us all the different ways to get around Branson. But of course not having been there for quite some time (when we visited in March), having the luxary of being a passenger and looking at all of the different places one could spend their money, I didn't remember where the back roads would lead to. We could have by-passed 80% of it had we taken 165.

But by the time we got to the restaurant and met our friends (unbeknown to SJ in advance), all the unnerving of the night driving on hills and curves and bumper to bumper traffic fell by the way side quickly. We had a great time.

There has always been the "team" mentality on the thread (as with most I've had occasion to read). Seems to me the "teams" are a little more equal at present.

I'm guessing you probably got the same PM I did from the powers that be regarding the final disconnecting of the initial version of the SI site.

I tried the site when it was in Beta just once. The damn thing loaded so slow for me I was wondering if it would "freeze" my computer (after which I have to hold the "Ctrl" and "Alt" buttons down and then hit the "Delete" button to restart the computer). I remember reading a message posted to me and the damn thing was all the way over next to the right side of the screen like a column of type in a newspaper.

I guess from SI's view its "our way or no way". Well, I knew it was going to happen since their history has been to pay absolutely no attention to the opinions of the readers which use them.

At this time, I have no intention of using the newest version. I like the old style. I'm sure I'll get around eventually when or if I want to interact with others so badly I have no choice but to do so.

Yahoo has been working just fine for me and given me far more ways to make money than SI ever did. But I do have an account with Raging Bull (or did unless lack of use has taken its toll), and go by the name of Deacon_Blue. Maybe I'll see ya on it if they have general discussion threads like here on SI.

See ya when I see ya. Otherwise, have a nice life.
