Interesting to hear from a giddy Bob yesterday that he has a personal equity allocation in technology which way exceeds 37%. I wonder what his personal fixed income allocation is as well? He has declined to discuss what he does personally in the past. And all he had to say was that he was personally over-weighted in technology and leave it at that or he did not have to respond at all. But he went on to say that he invests "predominantly" in technology "stocks" and was way in excess of 37%. What happened to mutual funds? Well maybe we did not get the whole story. He was definitely making a point to show he was overweight in technology. And I can't help but think his answer was in response to the "we-want-more-crowd" over on the bobbrinker.com thread.

But what about the typical listener? I bet that makes the diversified mutual fund radio listener feel a bit under-weighted to the Nasdaq run. They turn on Bob and must be totally confused as to what to do at this point and in the future. They have heard Bob recommend diversification and to discourage folks from going the technology sector fund route for years. And now they discover that he is not following his own advice currently at least.

He has told his audience for years to gauge the Fed. by what they do and not what they say. So I can't help but think that some folks will think now is time to overweight the technology sector and that one should be overweight technology going forward. But maybe that is the message that Bob wanted to convey. But then again, maybe not. Who can really say now? There was certainly very little talk of valuation and caution and I find this interesting as Bob says he has limited visibility beyond the end of this year.

But from this point on, people will roll their eyes from now on when they hear the diversification talk. Husbands and wives will wink at one another. And I can't help but think there will be other calls to the show that ask what he is doing personally after hearing the diversification talk. And who can blame them.

Yes I know Justa.
But it was not so much meant as a political response,
as it was meant to highlight BB's attitude.
so it belongs on the BB thread.
Thanks, Justa
