Things are great, a fine social time of year. Yes, i blew that one out some time ago, more just to scrape up funds to accumulate Jordex, but looking back it was a brilliant fluke. Didn't live up to the promise, so far, and three years is a bit much ... i keep it on the ticker, though, and may yet jump back in.

That about sums up where i'm at with gold stocks, as well. Sold the abx months ago, don't want anything to do with them. Watching several less-hedged and unhedged golds, but mostly only watching, as with y2k only a few days away, it doesn't look like it's going to help. Holding some juniors of course, as always.

Shame about decisionpoint, they really aided Tom's chart rap ... Tom, you know this site? - askresearch.com ... don't know if they have Au or XAU charts, but for stocks the site works great. Got it from this site, which has several others of interest - marketspirit.com

In South America the most common word for artesanal miners is garimpeiro, from portugues, it's used even in hispanic countries, likely is used in Africa since the portuguese controlled parts of it not long ago.

Merry Christmas to all, and let's hope gold does better in the next millennium than it did in this one! -g- ..... cheers
