Agfa Ships World's First Digital Camera With Built-In Iomega Clik! Drive
ePhoto CL30 Clik!(TM) Digital Camera Offers Consumers the First Digital Camera that Takes Pictures Like a Real Roll of Film
ROY, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 20, 1999-- Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM - news), a leader in smart, portable storage solutions, and Agfa Corporation's Desktop Products Group (USA-DTP), a leading provider of award-winning digital cameras and desktop scanners, today announced that Agfa is shipping the first ever digital camera with a built-in Iomega Clik!(TM) drive, called the ePhoto CL30 Clik! digital camera. This ePhoto CL30 Clik! digital camera will allow consumers to save approximately 60 megapixel, or near 35 millimeter quality, images on one removable 40MB Clik! disk that is about as affordable as purchasing and developing a roll of film, but has the added bonus of being reusable.

Consumers can purchase the ePhoto CL30 Clik!(TM) digital camera for an estimated street price of $549 (U.S.) and Iomega's 40MB Clik! disks are currently available at an estimated street price of $9.99 (U.S.) each, when purchased in a 10-pack.

''With the introduction of the ePhoto CL30 Clik! digital camera, consumers now have the freedom to shoot a full Clik! disk of digital pictures, then simply change disks and resume shooting...just like a regular film-based camera,'' said Christophe Fremont, director, AGFA USA-DTP.

The combination of megapixel quality and affordable, easy-to-use 40MB Clik!(TM) disks makes the Agfa CL30 Clik! digital camera practical for all types of digital camera users. In addition to its affordable, high storage capacity, the ePhoto CL30 Clik! digital camera offers the same ease of use as popular floppy-based models with the added bonus of performing more like a traditional film-based camera.

''With Iomega's award-winning Clik! removable storage technology, consumers can store up to 25 floppies worth of images on a single Clik! disk and eliminate the hassle of viewing multiple images one floppy at a time,'' said David Henry, vice president and general manager, magnetic product management, Iomega.

Featuring a USB (Universal Serial Bus) interface, the ePhoto CL30 Clik!(TM) digital camera allows for extremely fast data transfer - up to 10 times the rate of serial communication. By connecting to a PC via the USB port, all of the stored images can be viewed and edited immediately. The camera can also work like a regular Iomega drive. Not only can users download their digital pictures, but the ePhoto CL30 Clik! digital camera appears on the computer as an Iomega drive, allowing user's to download their computer files onto a Clik! disk inside the digital camera.

The USB interface also gives true meaning to the phrase ''plug-and-play'', allowing Windows® 95 and 98 users to plug and unplug the ePhoto CL30 Clik!(TM) digital camera for convenient ''hot swapping'' with other USB devices, without having to reboot the PC or to ''chain'' multiple peripheral devices.

The ePhoto CL30 Clik!(TM) digital camera comes complete with cables (PC, Video), AC adapter, powerful software, a 40MB Clik! removable disk, one set of four AA-sized alkaline batteries and a soft protective case. Agfa offers a $50 mail-in rebate coupon upon purchase of the ePhoto CL30 Clik! digital camera. Rebate coupons can be obtained upon purchase, at the Agfa DTP Web site (www.agfahome.com/promotions/usa.html) or by calling (617) 747-0943 for a fax coupon.
