steve, do the ADR's somehow get "rolled" into the U.S. paper? Or does the ADR keep trading on its own...which would seem odd if there is a NASDAQ stock also

From what I read does his question refer to Level I and higher Level ADRs.

Example: HSBC holdings - traded OTC as L I ADR with the symbol "HSBHY " with limited reporting requirements.
In July the stock has been introduced on the NYSE as HBC.

So his, and the next question is: Is the previously traded L I ADR "automatically" reorganised into the new symbol?
