but if the newest technology is all that matters as the current valuations & you say, why do we still have cars when super sonic aircraft exist?

russett, eventhought your misguided insight to explain the current
gold market has a near zero impact on this thread, it does represent
how those who wish to manipulate and control the price of gold using
criminal means are able to, for their own power and wealth gains.

As for the supply and demand factor, it has always taken a back seat
to the good verses evil elements in the determination of who has
and controls the gold.

This thread is about the price of gold, what/when/where/how and WHY.

The why most often originates from a conflict between good and evil,
not the actual supply and demand, as these numbers are hidden
and keep out of the things that really determine the gold market.

<<gold bugs ... hope for disaster to come to others.
I prefer the hope and promise of science and technology,
to the disease, pestilence and war hopes of many gold investors.>>

russett, you and Bobbie is "life representing art". Take the above
that you wrote, along with the thoughts of Bobbie, and without
any changes or modification they represent precisely the fictional
characters in the novels Atlas Shrugged, Fountainhead by Ayn Rand.

Bobbie will be that social worker in Fountainhead, and you will be a
large collection of many others. Its Rand's opinion that these
characters represent the evil.

<<Anyone know of a better thread to keep up with the gold market,
than this?>>

Hi
I have been trying to get Hutch to start a new thread..but so far he has declined..
A friend of mine whom I respect so much said that I also have been sucked into all the negativity and have been behaving as badly as most. Now that is a true friend..
Why don't use start a new thread?
The growth of the internet has postponed the bull market in gold..
already computers have become commodities..but the software needed
and the infrastructure for the biggest change in history of doing business and exchanging information..(wow wonder what a carrierpidgeon
would say)..besides as you said..biotech etc..really does currently
take the gleam off of gold..for now
Bobby

(off topic - subject: starting a new SI gold monitor thread)

russett, a short follow up to your comments about this thread.

<<This thread, although good to learn from in the past,
is steadily deteriorating to a "beating one's chest thread",
with lots of propaganda about everything but learing about gold.
Anyone know of a better thread to keep up with the gold market,
than this?>> russett

What would be different on any new thread made by you ?

What would prevent me from posting what I feel is on topic ?

Some think the alignment of the moon sun and stars have an effect.

Doubtful you could prove with evidence that they are incorrect as zero
influence was accomplished. In a court of law the judge has a great deal
of room to rule, but even he is accountable. The SI administration also has
a large amount of ability to determine wrong doing, even leading to termination
of membership. Want to start a new thread and cry that my topic of
good verses evil does not influence the price of gold ?

Please, do an IGNORE on me.

Thanks
Doug
