Vic, This should be a great thread.

The companies within this industry that I own stock in are THDO, IPLY (Ughh) and ELBO. I had some FNCO a few months ago but dumped it to buy more thdo. My position in thdo is by far the largest.

My off the cuff opinions on a few of the players.
THDO - obviously the most attractive in my opinion. Growing revenues extremely fast. 48mm in revenue last year, should have well over 100mm this year (March '00). Insider buying over the last couple years has been impressive. AM Sarge's Heroes is currently doing very well on the n64. Battle Tanx GA seems to be doing ok to. Army Men 3d psx seemed to have a resurgence after sarge was released and promoted on television commercials. Army Men Air Attack psx doesn't seem to be doing great but hopefully it's not a total dud, kinda hard to tell. They also have many pc games, some compilations that should add to sales this quarter. Next quarter (Q4 fy00) has a couple game boy titles (or maybe 3) due out in early jan with sarges heroes psx and crusaders psx to follow in mid january. Earnings estimates show a profit for fy00. This will be the first profitable year as a software publisher. FY01 estimates are .70 per share. THDO currently doesn't publish games developed on the outside. They develop all their games internally. Toca was the exception to this. They rely on outside development houses to port games to the dc, mac and gb though. There's more but I think that's enough for now.

I'll continue with some quick thoughts on other companies in another post.

Great thread idea. Should be a winner. I'll make sure I drop by once in a while. Good luck.

By the way, who do you think the top 3 analysts are in sector?
