This might be among the best summations of the Qualcomm story that I have read....

well - this month's Scientific American has a full page ad for a San Jose, CA "tech" museum - the copy --

"CHANCES ARE YOUR KIDS HAVE NEVER HEARD OF IRWIN JACOBS"

and why is Bezos Person of the Year in Time - AMZN has never, and may never, earned real money

cfoent,

Congratulations for your mom! My mom is almost 70 & she has been conservative in her investments. She is financially secure & has always maintained a large cash position. I convinced her that she could risk less than 2% of her investment capital for her first (& for now, her only) stock purchase. I think that with QCOM's potential, she will get some excitement from this investment for quite some time.

Unfortunately, QCOM is not waiting around for her to pull the trigger. If mom & her financial advisor procrastinate much more (like a couple more weeks), I may wait for one of Q's corrections to have her take the plunge.

Hell hath no wrath like a (very conservative) mother scorned.
