If you are going to hold and not trade you are correct but bedamned if I am going to miss these 12 and 15 point pull backs all the time. People are forgetting that because they will not do it. It is numbers my friends. Put a pencil to those numbers and you will see. I have done this with just simple IRA's for people and they are up over 1200 per cent for the year but mainly the last three months on Q. As for the options being expensive, that is what the 40 % is for, to dollar cost on every dip. I have always said I don't by price, I buy the situation and what I am going to do with it. Trust me, before it is over with those calls will net out pretty cheap. I need to use the leaps because it allows me time to keep working down the cost position and adding shares with profit and time is on my side with Q.. Near term would be more profitable but more anxiety. My only problem will be liquidity, I cannot be making my own market so I will use different strikes.
