Elmer, "One more question - Can minor/major steppings be put into production on the fly at whatever stage it would be affected, or does everything have to be ramped up all over again?" It would make sense that you would need to validate whatever change you made and also make sure you didn't break something else. That would take weeks. Testing to make sure you didn't break something else is called regression testing by some computer houses. What does Intel call it? Turns out regression testing (running all old, still supported software) takes more time than testing the latest and greatest software and applications. Tony
