Do you really believe that existing DUV steppers / scanners will be removed from fab lines to equip 300mm fabs?

INTC isn't upgrading to 300mm; it's establishing entire new lines or entire new fabs to get there.

The same is true for every chipmaker.

More DUV capacity is being added.

Overall growth has been, is and will continue to result in more square inches of silicon being exposed - and with more critical layers per chip that will take more DUV lasers to do that exposure.

I repeat: Your posts indicate a complete lack of understanding of the industry, of lithography and of the requirement for CYMI's lasers.

In fact you're so clueless and closed minded on this subject that I won't bother posting anything to you ever again. Thus you get as many last words as your youth and inexperience dictates appropriate.

Ian.
