Dangergirl, The link to the G&K thread is: Subject 25851 The discussion is based upon Geoffrey Moores book the "Gorilla Game". there are 2 other books that expand on the tactics and reasons companies like JDSU, QCOM, CSCO & MSFT dominate their markets and have above average returns and below average risk. I invite you to come over and begin to read the discusion. The links in the thread header are an excellent place to start. While reading 12000+ posts may be a bit much for most people, It will certainly help you understand the people and rationale behind the companies that are nominated and accepted as Gorillas & Kings. I will warn you that if you ask questions that indicate you have not read the book and familiarized yourself with the thread, you will be admonished to RTFM. The FM is Moore's book. Having said all of that, you will find the people on that thread to be the most congenial and courteous(warning there are curmudgeons there if you insist on posting without preparing yourself) on any SI board I am familiar with and the investment results have been fantastic for me.
