JDN, I think the FED would be held criminally liable if they did not jack up the money supply a little here. In essence they have no choice since a lot of people are going to take extra cash on hand from their deposits, just in case. They had to increase liquidity to compensate for some of that liquidity drain. By the way I got here via the VLNC thread where Bill is getting a little "tramped" over by the bulls (they are giving him back some of the medicine he has been dishing out to them during their times of trials and tribulations <VBG>).
