Rise - I suspect you are well aware of how the computer order system works when market buy orders are placed early and the offers are thin. It just moves up the offer until the volume of the market buys metts the volume of the ask and the highest ask on that list will be the B/A - On thinly bid/offered stocks it can look odd for quite some time until all orders are in.
