Sprint North Supply and Cabletron Enter Into Marketing Agreement; Sprint North Supply Becomes Authorized Synergy Plus Distributor
NEW CENTURY, Kan., Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint North Supply today announced that it has signed an agreement with Cabletron Systems (NYSE: CS - news). Under the terms of the agreement, Sprint North Supply becomes a Synergy Plus distributor, enabling them to offer Cabletron's world-class networking and service solutions to their resellers throughout the United States.

''Sprint North Supply has an established customer base which will bring Cabletron into new markets,'' said Joe Garofolo, Cabletron vice president of channel sales for North America. ''Cabletron products will meet the needs of telephony resellers looking to provide a voice/data solution to their customers. The agreement enables Cabletron to leverage Sprint North Supply's relationships with a national footprint of voice and data resellers. As a participant in Cabletron's Synergy Plus distributor program, Sprint North Supply will be able to offer its resellers priority lead generation, customized marketing promotions, comprehensive training and certification, and a channel-dedicated Technical Assistance Center.
