Virtual delivery dates should expected with a virtual distribution system. There is more than NW capacity required for a retail business. You have to be able to deliver products quickly, and also handle customer complaints/returns, etc.

Without even a strong price differentiator, there is little that etys has that is compelling other than name recognition.

My order of an "in stock" item with premium shipping (an extra $8.50) made on December 1st has not shipped according to "My EToys". I have received no communication from the company. I call and find that it will not be available for Christmas. I am screwed. Etoys will never see any of my dollars again. My advice on this stock is to check the service and see if they can deliver. For me, they have no chance.

I think buying puts on this stock may be a fantastic investment. I also have had a terrible experience with etoys. Had a fairly large order with them (240.00). I ordered the day after Thanksgiving (November 25th). They told me everything was in stock and would be shipped out the next week. I have received nothing. I have tried to call them over the last week virtually every hour of the day and night. I have also tried their non-toll-free number for overseas customers. The only thing I get is a busy signal on the 800 line and a message that the lines are full on the overseas line. I sent 5 e-mails last weekend and got them all back (could not be delivered within two days). I sent them an e-mail for web problems and got a response back that they tried to answer their web problems within 24 hours. My order says in-process (not shipped yet). Wow. The really bad news is that my grandchildren may not get what they wanted for Christmas. I'll be going out tomorrow to try and find the gifts they wanted but most everything will be sold out as they were popular gifts. The good news is, I'm shorting this stock tomorrow before I go shopping. It should be a slam dunk.
