They reported their third quarter results on October 28, 1999, so you can probably expect them to report year end results on or about January 28, 2000. As for Bezos being Time's "Man of the Year", I think that it is a well deserved honor. BNBN may find itself restricted to selling books, CDs and videos. AMZN has escaped that box. In this week's Barron's Mary Meeker had the following comments: "My view on Amazon: There's a 75% chance it becomes one of the greatest retailers of all times. And 25% chance it is -- what's the right word -- that it doesn't. Maybe the odds are more like 80-20. They are going where no one has ever gone before. And you have to give them credit for that. And it is a high-wire act. But boy, do they have customer loyalty! The growth of their customer base, now 15 million, in one of the fastest we've ever seen."
