Thanks for taking the time to respond. I conclude then that one-platter 10-GB drives at $130 and two-platter 20-GB at $180 will be profitable. The remainder sizes (6.4 GB, 8 GB, etc...) are just on clearance until they run out of supply.

So now we have to guess at how much of each type of drive in being sold. One way to do that is to look at the offerings of Dell, CPQ and GTW. But of course detailed sales numbers will be impossible to get.

By the way, I sold a little SEG and replaced it with a lot of MXTR, for the sake of diversification.
