The odd thing is, I responded to Dan's post at about noon, without having read the pleasant, Christmassy posts, which were, for the most part, posted after his posts. Then I logged off, and went to my office. When I logged back on, I saw your post, and then read all the pleasant posts, followed by the resumption of hostilities. It didn't take long, and it didn't take much.
