re: momentum swing targets

first a warning... if you are a serious engineer, this is so far under your head that its validity must be questioned... it lacks complexity and therefore credibility

job requirements are simple arithmetic and some pattern recognition... LaPlace transforms, Fourier transforms, multiple integration, parallel/series logic, logarithms, even simple long division, NOT REQUIRED

as a result of its simplicity, engineers regard it with contempt as worthless... it does not fail though... with Technical Analysis, the simple observations are the most powerful

take a recent QCOM top... e.g. mid-November 405
take its following QCOM bottom... e.g. next week 330
this is intraday observation
the swing down had size 405-330=75 pts, not rocket science
the swing up will have 75 pt size also, also intraday
target 405+75=480

this TA target was stated over a week ago
I doubt 480 will offer much resistance
any news of significance and we blow it away

I consider this momentum rule as a cute corollary to the physics law: mass times velocity is preserved
(dont be confused with money moving at speed of light)
(we are talking about movement of price)
