JJ, Thanks for the summary. I did go off and read some about spreads over the week end at e-analytics.com It gives a concise introduction to many types of options plays, if anyone else is looking. I did neglect to deduct your credits when I was asking about the risk, but at least my brain was on the right track. As I understand it, the potential gain on each spread is limited to the credit you received when you opened each one, and the risk is the difference in strike prices less the credit, per share. Dan
