You need Pair's reliable, proven and standard HDSL2 or Avidia ADSL. Alcatel's equipment is first generation and simply cannot cut the mustard for massive deployment. Because of their many years in HDSL and xDSL networking equipment, Pair is the most experienced and knowledgeable company with these products. Pair execs. predicted this would happen with firs generation products. This is why Pair went for the third generation product found in AVidia. The RBOCs have all trialed Pair's equip. and know that its the best and most reliable and nebs approved. They are purposely trying to hold back ADSL so they can continue to milk the T1 lines. This might give some life to HDSL2 for the next six to twelve months. I still believe that beginning nexT Q Pair's products will deploy big time.
