They will have to raise rates to at least 1% per day, otherwise people will continue to invest in nas 100 index stocks.

So, Greenspan, are you willing to raise rates to 365% to compete with the worlds biggest casino?

MWD beat the estimates by a good margin and is splitting 2 for 1. Yet the stock went no where today. Interesting.

< One has to wonder what will do it...>

Heinz, the fundamentals divorced themselves from stock prices years ago. All the bimbos of the USA, all the mindless wonders of the world, are now invested in Internet stocks. They may be naive and greedy, but their sure stubborn and their money talks.

Gold has done well considering....It just can't compete when Growth outstrips inflation. Growth is greater than 5.25%.

It may take 6 more rate hikes to do it. A Frenzy like this does not end all of a sudden. Not when the Pavlovian Dogs have been conditioned and programmed to buy every dip.

The fundamentals died years ago. Are you looking for a Resurrection of the Fundamentals to bring share prices back to more reasonable levels, like Dow 4000? I wouldn't count on that any time soon. Perhaps in the second half of the next decade.
