Justa: Re: FED "tightening bias"... FED guys have made noises that they are considering how to "clarify" their FOMC statements, especially the bias-type statements. (Is clarifying a FED statement a contradiction in terms? <G> The so-called bias doesn't seem to correlate with their subsequent rate changes anyway. Now some people are concluding that it does. There was also so some talk about maybe releasing the minutes of the FOMC meetings on an earlier schedule. They usually release them 2 days after the FOLLOWING meeting. Usual post-FOMC meeting statement expected about 2:15 PM EST today.
