Re: That's some statement - considering that Intel just announced SHIPMENTS...

Paul,

You're starting to get hysterical again - could it be that those 800s are pretty much the end of the road for any good news from Intel for awhile?

Given the market's treatment of Intel today after what sounded like great news, is there nowhere for Intel to go but down?

Must have been a terrible disappointment.

Condolences,

Dan

PS. Still a little time left to load up on AMD before the January earnings announcement.

PPS. Any chance you'll drop the "wipey" talk? It isn't helping your credibility, and now you've got us AMD longs writing about PWeelll. Yahooo news group talk - don't let it happen here!

Hi Paul:

Yes it is. Let's see how the game gets played out now, and whether or not "Intel outside" can keep its Dell and GTW a captive audience with this latest promise in what seems an unending stream of unfulfilled promises.

Dell and GTW just have to be looking over their shoulders at Axis right now who are offering 8 different AMD configurations, 6 of which are built around the "spry Athy". Sounds to me like Axis has their act together...How much longer can Dell and GTW afford to wait?

Dell and GTW must already be wondering whether or not anyone will purchase the PWeeIII based systems when they cost at least $200 more than similarly configured Athlon systems and don't run as smoothly and fall behind in many of the important benchmarks!

If Dell and GTW don't soon jump aboard the Athlon express, they may find their roles reversed relative to Axis in much the same manner the PWeeIII has found its role reversed relative to the "spry Athy"!
