Actually, I've posted on the Sun thread in the past, but found the locals to be, by and large, not wanting to hear much of anything except motherhood, apple pie, and SUNW is going to the moon! No matter what FOMC does tommorrow Msft will rise 5 points Today was a classic selling, take profit day, for Msft holders that saw the stock add 21 points last week. Tommorrow FOMC will either say nothing and no bias; at which time the market will soar or, do nothing and annonce well expected bias of which market will igore and continue to rise. Since we are so close to earnings and there were practically only a small amount of negative annoncement you can expect people to hold on to there shares for some time. Remember I have never seen a rate hike in an election despite all the talk. Investors know this. This is why Nasdaq is up 75%. I believe it will challenge the record of 81% established by the Dow many years ago. By the same arguement I expect Msft to continue to rally. When it hits $150 in a month or so then, we can expect some type of consolidation. Windows 2000 is to double earnings. Settlement is to be annonced. Tracking stock is to be annonced. Stock split is to be made. Record earnings to be shown in earnings of January 2000. Anyone holding a short position in this type of environment has got to be insane. Good luck.
