I recently got my first rebate check on car taxes from the Commonwealth of Virginia. Opened it up, it was for $2.24. Can't remember exactly what my car taxes were, around $1000. Oh, well.

As for the rest of it, I have no significant quibble with anything you've said, except for the part about America being a "Christian nation". You weren't around for the last few go-rounds on this topic, it can get quite exciting.
