<800 MHz AthWipers are being sampled...>

Are you talking to second tier OEM contacts or something? These guys ain't getting the right samples.

<... - January 10 should be the launch date.>

It was January 10th. Interesting to see if AMD will stick to that after Intel pulled off the vaporware announcement.

<AMD is also telling customers that it can get to 1 GHz with Aluminum/0.18 micron process - >

BINGO!

<...throwing another cloud of DOUBT and UNCERTAINTY about Dresden and the CopperTop process !>

Hmmm! Wonder if have you got right data points and arrived at the wrong conclusions....

<Also, the AThWIPER "sweet spot" still seems kind of low - below 600 MHz as a matter of fact - ...>

Yeah, right! Even the Al process can go to 1GHz+ but sweetspot is below 600. Too scared to think what Intel is about to face, is it?

FWIW, based on recent developments a contact of mine is now estimating that Dresden may be capable of reaching 1.7G. So, I guess people are reaching different conclusions based on substantially similar data.
