Well for leaps the Roth book (Appropriately titled "Leaps") is great....available of course through amazon.com.
Lots of people told me to read all sorts of long books on calls, but I just dove in and did it: the people here, and the threads here on options, are great....how much time do you have to read, anyway????
We ought to meet in Jan, how about the 8th at Miltons or whereever? And talk about options and our stocks in general.
Want to?
Anyone else?
Miltons is in Del Mar, pretty convenient for SD and southern LA.
LUnch? Dinner?
Let me know.
Good luck.
Q is amazing.
And we are fortunate to be in it already.

My loyal subject Doug H,

Good question, properly addressed <ggg>. There's a book by McMillan and another by Roth (called LEAPs) that are decent primers. We'll include them in the header of the options thread. They're both available through Amazon and are well worth the $35 to 40, IMO.

Getting Started in Options by Thomsett is a great intro book. Only $15.16 on Amazon. Easy reading, great layout. If you were skiing this would be mostly green runs with some easy blue ones mixed in.

McMillan (Options as a Strategic Investment) is my favorite, but I wouldn't tackle the steeps until you try the beginners slope a few times.
