D.Jim, <re: "AMD K7 750MHz - ETA02/01"...What a joke Sanders & co. are.>

Do you have the same learning disorder as most
of Inteldolts?

Once again: K7-700 in stock, PIII-700 - "not available".

Who is supplying chips and who is not?

Now which standards are you talking about?

Re: hyped and taken credit for since 6/1/99. What a joke...

Diamond Jim,

Go to the link below tomorrow, give them your credit card number, and you will have your Athlon 750 Wednesday.

thechipmerchant.com

Try to pick up an Intel 733, or even a 700 for that matter - there aren't enough to go around. It's partly because it is taking time for AMD to build up a large volume demand for the very high end parts, but face it - they are having no problems with production sufficient to meet demand. Intel is having such problems - and the OEMs are learning a lesson about which suppliers are reliable and which aren't(the lesson is: neither is always reliable, and either is sometimes reliable, and that's a big loss for Intel and a big win for AMD).

Since 6/1/99?

The 750 was hyped in June?

"No wonder AMD isn't held to the same standards as Intel."

Have you not yet noticed the quality of the PIII 750/800 launch?

Of course, you could be joking with these comments. If not, we might have to consider you to be a "joke" like "Sanders & co. are".

Diamond Jim, re:<Athlon 750 a 'joke'>
Fraid not. In San Diego, there are 3 resellers at six locations selling Athlon 750 SYSTEMS, and they are also selling the CPU's directly. A large parts house which advertises in Infoworld (& I think PC Week) is selling Athlon 750's for $10 less than the lowest price on pricewatch.com. (Check out thechipmerchant.com This same reseller is an Intel dealer but has never sold a single CuMine 700 or 733 even though these chips were supposedly introduced long before the Athlon 750.
