Are you using Windows? and what version? 3.1, 95 or 98

Go to the Windows desktop and double click "my computer"

Left mouse click on your hard drive one time, it should tell you the free space and used space.

I'm running Win 98, so if it doesn't work that way for you, right mouse click once on your hard drive and select "properties" - should tell you the info you need.
