Dorothy,

The old TC2000 server will be shut down on Dec 31,1999. I decided to terminate my subscription on that date, so I am now in search of new data service.

I am looking for a service that charges by the quote with no minimum per month as I only track about 80 charts at any one time. I am hoping this will only be a filler. I have been meaning to write my own charting program in order to do more controlled studies. I can then just down load data from yahoo or excite. It looks like that just moved up the list of thing to do in the new millennium. <g>

Strong move on the COMPX. I have never tried my system on that index, but it gave a sell signal just after the Fed announcement. Let's see how well it works. Conversely, the SP500 did not generate a signal, so I expect it to continue to trade the range.

I have been think about Clint's momentum indicator. It has 12 components which I think are simply 12 industry groups. Under normal conditions you should see a nice rotation between the groups with the majority either going up or down depending on the direction of the overall index. When the number of groups advancing get to 3 or less the market has topped. Similarly the inverse is true for the end of a downward spiral. Now picking the groups and the companies in the component is where the art comes in. <g>

Off to the malls again. A engineer's work is never done! <g>
