Chat : Z Positions: - ONT - big news today on of partnership with TWX Roadrunner cable modem. ONT will provide movie channels over cable modem. This is just the beginning. Also, the beta release of its Streaming Media technology occurs tomorrow, i believe. Stock is acting great. ran to 40, retrace to 24, back to 32, back to 26, up big today to 35. Think this stock is going to do an AIRO and make a huger move, maybe 50-60 in a hurry. CD - stock should have bad news behind it, consolidating in low 20s on its big gap up, should become an institutional favorite again, and also a somewhat internet co. strong hold and good buy here. ICGE (and CMGI) - these two are the darlings of the internet, great broad representation. CMGI is firing on all cylinders, ICGE is a lot more speculative, but has gotten some major promotion by T and F recently. QCOM - King Kong - QCOM is a force, forget trying to understand it. IT just keeps going up. It is the dominant player in a fast growing industry with little competition, and difficulty of entry by newer players. a true gorilla. ABIZ - Adelphia Comm, formerly HYPT, stock now at 43 7/8, is a CLEC with great penetration, good management, and an absolutely beautiful chart. personal opinion is this puppy has a lot further to go. market in general: there are two markets: the general market, and the stocks that are moving: internet, techs, small caps. it doesn't make sense, it is totally irrational, it is highly speculative, but it is what is happening. growth and income and equity income and health and utility sectors are basically dead meat. if you want to make money you have to be where the action is. the stocks ahve moved so much already that there obviously is large risk. Y2K is almost here. It should be a huge non-event. After perhaps some quick profit taking in the new year, we should see an incredible influx of orders and money coming into the very same sectors that have been running. do your own dd. good luck all. larry
