"Does it matter that ATHM has a cool network?". I think that it does- or to be more precise that it will It all boils down to this: Will broadband applications create more demand than the "net" can handle? I strongly suspect that they will. The "net" strikes me as a pretty clumsy system with a lot of weaknesses. The troubles that I have had getting a consistently steady 48k stream for trading tells me a great deal. How many times have I heard "run a traceroute"- "whats your ping time?". "Try another ISP" Geesh- why should I care about stuff like that to get a measly 50k steady stream? Worth noting that the @home advantage will only apply if they host the applications on the @home network. I sincerely hope they start doing that. It will make @home stand alone among the broadband providers. Eric
