Hi Blue, yep you pointed out something important, and apparently there are others who'd like to discuss what Harmon's picks & results truly were, too. Giving credit where credit's due or not, it's only fair. Presto Chango, a Great score becomes a Superhuman Perfect Score til uh-oh Reality hadn't gone Down The Memory Hole afterall ... thud Back To Earth. It's natural everyone would like to see their portfolio only go forward & all picks winners; but that won't be happening anywhere except in The Land Of Make-Believe. Learning & Turning Mistakes Around into Good Timing Winners is The Way To Do Well - how to make it go positive again. Ego gets in the way of winning so often. Selling a loser and putting it into a great stock is GOOD, especially when it's something that wouldn't have been done if the held stock had been doing marginally ok by a measly %, inching up. Sometimes the losers make ya stick yer jaw out and get determined to Make It Better Next Time. i'd bought xcdnwx too but it didn't do well so i sold it a few months later - like some other picks of mine that didn't go right. Only got myself to blame, at the time it looked like it was going to be good Of Course. Its at a lower point now than what i'd sold it at, & if i'd held on a few more months i could've gotten out having made a couple bucks - nevertheless i'm glad i wrote it off to the downside and moved it forward ASAP again, though. So that shrunken basis went right back into another one that grew it back again after awhile, then it grew more. I'd had a dip-a-toe position that hadn't been added to anyway. My usual move when i first go into a new stock is either taking the momo & quackit first before considering going longer; or holding on for awhile if buying it cheap. And if it goes down from there by more than 1/3 instead, it's time to make a decision about whether to keep holding onto it when i'm already watching something behaving better. So there, i admit to another mistake and it won't be the last one either as long as i keep on trading (FONELY IDA agrees). Learning Experiences Shared = Doubleplusgoods.
