I suspect that when SI gets wind of using encrypted posts on public threads, they'll put an end to it. Seems to run counter to the open forum style that has been a SI hallmark since it started in, what? 1996? Other problems will be for MAC users, unless there's a MAC version of the application, and for users on company machines behind firewalls. Also, the system is only as secure as the password, and I understand from Tim's posts that there have been leaks up to this point. If the desire is to limit access to posts, I'd suggest taking it off SI.
