Any space programme, by virtue of its very nature, is full of challenge. Developing satellites, designing their payloads and operationalising launch vehicles, are all difficult tasks. So is establishing facilities for testing on the ground, or operating satellites once they are in orbit. If you look at it that way, every space event is fraught with tension and is a challenge. However, here is my list of what I perceive as the 10 greatest challenges faced by the Indian space programme?

Global Tele board to decide on group company stake

The board of directors of Global Tele-Systems Ltd. will meet on December 22 to consider the company`s stake in a group company, Global Electronic Commerce Services Ltd (GESC), according to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

"A meeting of the board of directors of the company will be held for the purpose of considering the issue pertaining to the continued holding or disposal of shares held in GECS," a BSE notice said. The exchange said the company has received offers for all or part of 19,635,100 equity shares equivalent to 12.40 percent of the capital of GESC. The board will consider whether it should dispose off all or part of such shares, the BSE said.
