>Ok, but is this analysis or gut feel?

Considering that real analysis has been dead for the last year, does it matter?

The only thing that makes any difference these days are:

1) Cooking the books
2) Stock splits
4) Issuing a string of vague yet hype-filled press releases. Preferably with some reference to B2B, no matter how flismy.
5) Buying out of the money calls of .com stocks on a regular basis.

As for #5, I can attest that I blew around 4 million dollars shorting worthless stocks until I wised up, turned off my mind, and joined the corruption with every penny I had. I won't bother disgusting the thread with how much stinking easy money i've made since I changed my view.

Well, I havent actually changed my view- I still know for a FACT that most of these fraud.com's exist solely to sell stock to the public, but I have learned to accept that 99.999% of the investing public will NEVER spend the time required to discover the rampant fraud pervading the markets. CNBC will never discuss it, the brokerages will never discuss it, and the CEOs *ALL* come on CNBC and say the same thing:

"We cant focus on profitability because we're spending so much on branding and user service. We can't waste time worrying about our stock price- it has nothing to do with the business we are building."

Except of course in the new era, people who start companies and take them public receive a financial reward in the first year that is greater than an owner of a wildly successful business would receive over his/her lifetime. The incentive to work hard is completely removed. It is no longer a business, but a scam.

If you applied to medical school, and were issued your diploma to practice medicine on your first day, would anyone even slightly sane agree to let you operate on them?

This sort of thing is ruining business schools across the nation. Nobody cares about cash flow, profitability, or ANYTHING but scamming the public long enough to cash out.

Just read eric wells fabulous report on how most internut companies have yearly insider sales that are MULTIPLES of revenue, not to mention a complete and utter lack of profits. (except ad-banner swap phony revenue- too bad the SEC wont allow them to report that fraudulent "cash" as profit. Otherwise evey inut would be making a profit!

Anyone have an idea how hard it is to keep a good engineer when they've just vested 10 million in .com insider stock?
They tend to take year long vacations and could care less what happens to the parent company.

How
