I don't understand .... You say that Cisco's call management software "remains a huge bugaboo" due to reliance on Telcordia and HP (which HP is just a platform... so you lost me there already)... but then you say CSCO has lost groun in VoIP gateways. These are two different things in an IP network. Cisco's 5300 gateways are not reliant on Telcordia. .... or are you making two separate points?

If you're pointing directly to the the gateway issue then here's a thought. I know that you take exception with Cisco positioning such products like the 3600 as a carrier platform. It seems to me that LU positioning the 7R/E as an IP telephony platform is equally misleading since it's fundamentally still a circuit switch... and well.. they're probably also positioning as a gateway. I think this might be the cause of some of the miscounting. Thoughts?
