I ordered Dell Dimension XPS B800r system yesterday.

Here is the quote from the order confirmation I just received:

<Thank you for your internet order! Here is some important information
relating to your order that should be used in any future communications with
Dell:

Your Dell customer # is: XXXXXXXX

Your order number is: XXXXXXXX

We estimate that your order should ship on or before: 02/07/00>

So you order on the first day of availability and your ship date is 7 weeks away. Dell is becoming a joke, just as the big brother Intel.

The demand must be really strong, right Pboy? I guess one million elves got in front of me yesterday.

Jim, re:<Gateway country stores don't stock any PCs. They are just order takers>

So, if you see a CrudMine 800 on display, it might still have a 3-week delivery?

What's their normal delivery on, say, a Celeron 400 or 466?
