I tend to mostly agree with what you've said, however, the one aspect which is "different" and does contribute to the "new era" paradigm are the demographics. The boomers have influenced the economy more than every other generation. My take on this would be that the amplitude and width of the wave they cause will be much larger than previous bubbles.

I do believe that it is possible for Y2K to cause a significant disruption which could really rock the boat for the markets. I suspect if such were to happen, it would be an 1987 style correction, followed by a resumption of the bull into the timeframe Stratfor has presented (for the reasons they presented).
