Today is my holiday. To be really accurate, I would stay up all night tonight and greet the sunrise in the morning, but I can't quite pull that off, so I am taking this day from work. And working Friday, to the dismay of security and payroll people because it's *mandatory* to stay home. Why? It's a cool day for people who do that, who believe that way, who chuckle over Buddism.. my gosh what must they say about someone who thinks the actual longest night of the year is an event? A turning and changing.. unlike some calander year some dude sometime came up with? That there is a nevermind. And it's the brightest full moon in 133 years.. and on the soltice. Way cool. Cheers, Rambi!

I certainly didn't intend my Merry Christmas to be an "in your face take that, nasty believer thing" at all Penni!

And I'm sorry if you got that impression.

Penni -- I alluded to, if not describing in the detail you did, the fact that Christianity borrowed from other religions and observances. The "new" has a habit of borrowing from the "old". Well documented. I expressed nothing other than acceptance of this.

As I have said repeatedly, I don't object to Del affirming his belief. I object to him (or anyone) trashing mine.

Actually, I suspect if Del, instead of trashing Christianity, had made pointed reference to Jews, Muslims or Rastafarians he might not be enjoying the warm support he seems to have from some Feelies. In fact, he might find himself Bobbed.

If, as you suggest, heated religious debate is a tradition at Feelies, I don't see why anyone would object to my remarks.

In any case, I'm not debating Del about religion; only pointing out what I consider rudeness.

A hearty Ho, Ho, Ho to you,

Mike
