PSCO :-) ProtoSource Corporation provides Internet access, Web development, Web hosting and related services to individuals, public agencies and businesses on a national level. The Company operates its own Internet network facilities in Central California and offers Internet access nationwide through two "backbone" providers with which it has agreements. As of December 31, 1998, the Company had approximately 3,700 subscribers for whom it provided Internet access. The Company seeks to acquire other small Internet providers in markets with populations less than 500,000. ProtoSource provides its customers with a number of Internet services such as consulting services for network setup, Internet application implementation, Intranet design, and Web site implementation. The Company also provides all necessary hardware and software and stores its clients' Web pages on its dedicated servers, which are monitored and maintained 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to assure subscriber access.
