Taylor says Pacific Northwest is worth buying

Pacific North West Capital Corp PFN
Shares issued 8,492,000 Dec 29 close $0.47
Wed 29 Dec 99 In the News
Writing in the December issue of Gold Resource & Environmental Stocks, Jay
Taylor initiates his newsletter coverage of Pacific Northwest Capital,
rating the company a buy. Mr. Taylor says that he is generally shying away
from exploration companies given the current depressed metals markets but,
in select instances, times like these provide an opportunity to purchase
junior companies with extraordinary properties and efficient funding
arrangements in place. According to Mr. Taylor, Pacific Northwest qualifies
as one of those instances. He bases his recommendation on a number of
factors. First, the company holds a large land position near Sudbury, Ont.,
in one of the most promising platinum group metals (PGM) exploration
targets in North America. Second, the price of platinum and palladium have
remained strong relative to gold. Third, Mr. Taylor believes PGM prices
will continue to rise. Fourth, central banks are not in a position to
"manage" PGM prices lower. Fifth, the company's joint venture agreement
with Anglo American Platinum Corporation Ltd. should allow exploration to
proceed without major share dilution.
